Excellent customer service and pride in workmanship for sure with these guys. Just realize these are custom made and will take a few weeks to make. They also will not ship out a tank that is not cured and ready to add water. The website calculator does not have all the options or variables so just call or email them. They were very quick to get back to me with any questions or concerns.

I love the fact you can choose what you want. Having a 210g now with standard glass, I knew my next tank would have at least low iron on the front. The Custom Aquariums tanks allow for things like this. I did mine with 5/8" low iron on the front and sides and standard on the back. Then I did a 3/4" bottom in standard glass.

Super happy with the tank and whole process.

Thanks jaws, you know its been a long journey but worth it. Your move, new house build, bigger tank will be worth it too. A few headaches along the way, but worth it!

Working on my lighting right now. I am going to see how the lights off the 210g look on it. I have the current Satellite+ fixtures but they are only 36", so 6' of lighting on a 8' tank. Not sure if it will be bright enough.

I also run two sets of lights and timers to create a dusk/dawn effect. The other lights I had bought some years back and then they were discontinued. I recently found two more to complete my project.

These create a pinpoint light which works really well in having dark areas of the tank and a few brighter spots where the light shines.

Im gonna lean on you once it al starts. Already contacted an engineer to draw up plans to re enforce the floor.

I kind of like the look of dark spots towards both ends of the tank. I took the 4ft off the 150 and am using a 2ft. Much smaller tank than yours though

I have 2 of satellite + on my 8ft, two 4fters. I think two 3 ft units would work better, but I have them mounted 12 in off the tank so lighting doesn't have to be super bright for me.

Thanks for that feed back, having not to buy any lighting would be a big plus at this point.

Im here for you man. I dealt with a remodel that involved taking out a chimney and finding gold with a giant concrete pad where the tank was to go. You have got new construction so you can easily plan for your monster tank.
