Couldn't resist setting up a 2.6G Spec III. Normally $70, on sale right now for $40 at Petco. Going to house a single Betta in the tank. Really sleek and aesthetic little aquarium.

Stock LED light is definitely in the low-light category, which is great considering this is going to be a low maintenance/low tech nano tank. Trimmed and transferred some of the Water Wisteria from my main tank, as well as threw in a couple Aponogeton hybrid bulbs. Will update in a month or two once things get established.

that's awesome, I've got the fluval spec v in storage just now; holding onto it for when I get the chance to do something similar! It'd be great to do a java moss wall at the back, maybe some hairgrass along the bottom; with some mid-level plant as well

That's cool. Can't wait to see your set up! As for additional plants, I'm going to test the waters (no pun intended) in regards to what this LED light can/can't grow. I would suspect it probably won't grow much beyond your basic Anubias, Java Fern, Moss, Wisteria, etc. The Aponogeton's are cool plants once they get going. The mystery always becomes whether or not they go dormant (about 50% do).

Be a good while before I get the little tank going lol, years :P

I'm unfamiliar with aponogetons...
