Another hob or canister filter?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Its a 3" aro and a pleco, no need for any additional bio media for awhile. The BB that's colonized on the glass, decor, substrate, and AC media are way more than enough at this point for your stock of 2 fish small.

I don't know why my water not clear.

If this is the actual reason for this thread then you should of stated so from the beginning.

Water polishing is probably what you need to do. This can be accomplished by using filter floss in your AC like I had already mentioned in one of the previous posts. Try this first since its the cheapest and safest method.

you can try using 2 inch bulkfoam in home depot. Just make sure air go through when you blow on it. my 40 gallon was crystal clear when i use it.

Filter floss looks exactly like the polyester stuffing used in pillows. In fact, that's exactly what I use. I get mine at Wal-Mart labeled Poly-fil. This stuff is cheap so just throw it out when it gets too dirty. I would recommend you replace this after the first week, and then change it, more or less often, depending on how dirty it got after the initial week.

is it u put it before the water go into the tank? or before the bio max? I never used these stuff sorry.

The floss goes in first. Get it about 2" thick layer. Then you can put in the biomax on top of the floss. If you have the sponge for the AC, you can place it between the floss and the biomax if you want.
