Tank is 8 foot long and 2 foot wide, the stand is level with a plywood top. I noticed the tank has a slight wobble left front to right rear corner. Its about an 1/8" at the worst part. Do you think I will be ok, also say another post with someone having the center with a gap and a few said to put 1" foam board under the tank. The bottom plane on my tank is doubled and an inch thick

Make yourself a couple shims.

I would make sure that thing is level. If it's a flat bottom tank put a thin piece of foam under the tank. No way Id fill up 300 gallons that has a wobble to start

I did put some shims under it to stop the wobble but their are still parts that are not touching. If that's ok I'm good with it . If I put a 3/4" foam board under it would it be better? Does the weight of the tank even out over the foam

Agreed. I'd definitely has to be level and touching throughout. I struggled leveling my 540 for almost a month. You can get everything as close as possible then buy a sheet of white foam at a big box hardware store. It will compress and spring back unlike insulation foam.

I used 3/4 for my 300 and 1/2 for my 750 that heavy duty stuff from Home Depot it's not the typical white styrofoam I think it's actually insulation that's used under siding on a house

thanks guys I am looking at the lowes stuff, I actually have some insulating my garage. Stuff is very thick thats why I was thinking 3/4" would settle better but still considering 1".

Hello; Foam boards under tanks has been discussed. My take from reading the various posts is that it can depend on the type tank. Also apparently some tank companies will not honor a warranty if foam is used. For other tanks the use of foam is reported to be OK. I have not used it so cannot comment from experience. May I suggest you do a search on this forum as there have been several threads on both tank leveling and the use of foam.

Good luck
