Looks familiar. ;)

Good job.
haha,, hello joey! yep following your build. gonna be similar but had to change some specs
due to size limitations. working on the back round now. Hows that filter doing? planning on setting up something similar to that too.

here is a link to the original thread... basically the same stuff as here.

got bored so i started working on the back round, cant do too much right now until i get the glass
and some other stuff, plus i pulled/strained a muscle in my back so my movement will be limited for a few days.. it hurts just to breathe.

i have a few adjustments to make. i need to make the hole on the left a little larger plus i need to decide where im going to put the out take hole/pipe. im probably gonna drill out the holes for the bulk heads tomorrow. and i still need to add another layer of pond shield. any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.

theres always a chance for upgrading.. ;)

well it took a while,, finally closed on the house(hope to never have to deal with that again). Should be able to restart the build in a couple of weeks,, getting ready to order the glass and other stuff to really start the ball rolling. if all goes well i should be able to continue the build in a week or 2

so,, i think i have everything i need.(i hate having to stop and run to the store)
i started on the plumbing but didn't have much time. talked the wife into letting me run the pipes
outside so i can have the filter, pump and air pump outside so we dont have to hear it.

I don't understand... why wouldn't you just put another pane of glass in for the bottom? You've got a huge Achilles heel there with an epoxied bottom. It does look good though.

I understand your point put the 3/4 inch plywood with resin soaked in will be alot stronger and ridged then glass and how this is supported is overkill. I only know this from building subwoofer boxes. 1/8 of fiberglass mat/resin is equivalent to 3/4" plywood for strength which if you see setups some people have are incredible so if you consider the fact you have 3/4 plywood soaked with resin and then covers with mating and layered again it is friggen strong and 1/4 the price
