Out of curiosity how can you sex these Jags?
The spotting on the males really stands out, females dont usually get much of a "leopard print" look as they mature. That's a biggie. As stated above females don't usually have any spots on the gill plate either. Females are more yellowish and barred and have a different head shape. Male dorsal and anal fins are usually pointed, females round. Sometimes I also find males belly areas look more concave, and females are a little fatter.

Thanks for the help
Guys. The smaller one is the tank boss though which is funny

Because I kept managuense back in the 80s, before I had a camera check out Mo Devlin's exquisite photo of a pair on the cover of the Buntbarsche Bulletin of the American Cichlid Assn. It shows the gill plate sex difference of managuense very clearly

top female, bottom male.....explains everything....she wants the tank, he wants to mate....in Nature males do whatever females want to in order to mate. She's setting territory for nesting ground, he's gonna make it happen when the time is right. Keep an eye on them, maybe within a few weeks you'll be moving the other fish to another tank lol They will let you know when it's time to do this.
