Here is my Late bloomer male ....He is in a divided 75 gallon temporarily ,I had some bad luck and the 120 he was in Sprung a leak....one good thing to come out of this is now that is not in direct contact with other fishthat split tail he had Finally started to heal

OMG! These were so cute! I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering how to tell if you have a "golden" jag? Mine is gold, no doubt, I was told he was shipped from PR...I will post a pic. I'd like to find him a female!

He's about 6-7 inches now. He was in with a flowerhorn and a JD and kicked butt so he's alone now and likes it that way...I noticed he's building a nice palace for a girl this week though!
 
get use to the digging, even out once a week when you vacuum, he will dig it up again,

Nice jag...imo your jag is the realm of whats considerd a very nice specimen of a normal colored jag.... jags vary in their base color being whiteish,, goldish, copperish, purpleish which in turn can depend on their mood and the lighting they are under...the true gold jags are gold with no spots or have darker gold(no black)spots on the light gold body.....just my opinion from looking at a zillion pics of jags lol......
