Festae male or female

Hi I have a 4.5 to 5 inch festae and I can't figure out the sex for the life of me.. Some days I think this has got to be a female, with the dorsal really dark and not a lot of spangling.. then other days I'm convinced its a male, from long pointed fins and green tint near eyes. Also females get a lot more yellow/orange right? some days she/he colors up with a bright orange and dark bars. Festae experts please help. Thanks in advance !!

I'm not educated in Festae enough to "suggest", just general education/experience with Amphilophus to "guess" female. I have never owned a Red Terror but I have been eyeing them up since 2008 and I know what is available by reading others' experiences. It could be classed as one of my "dream fish" I just won't get until I am sure I can do it properly. I have owned labiatus, citrinellus, Xstrains, and FHs.

All have gotten Koks by 4" thus far IME.

EDIT: there is a Mod I met when I 1st joined MFK that has a STUNNING pair of Festae.....he would be a good person to ask, let me see if I can find who it was....

It looks female to me, but more pics, in different moods would help.
Directly below are 2 females

Is there another festae in your tank? a male?
The reason I ask about another sharing the tank, is the female below, in a tank without a male, would show these colors, as opposed to the 1st pic, where a male was in the tank. The female below, is the same as one of the 2 individuals in the first pic

NVM Lonte216 Lonte216 ....Duane is God-like. Ask him your festae questions....I'm just the dude people look up to that people look up to that look up to Duane. LOL He is my Sensei.....and many others' as well

First off thanks for taking time out to help. Second she is in a tank by herself but I did just recently pick up a few smaller ones and are in a tank near hers. And now that you ask it does seem that when she's looking in their direction she gets that bright orange and dark bars that I originally explained. So is it safe to say I have a male in that group??
