I had him with a jack Dempsey and a convict. They'd be minding their business and he'd sneak up on them, strike at them, then swim back to his cave lol. He was mean.

Lol I don't think my JD or GT would tolerate bullying when full grown haha. Did yours only eat live food? Sorry for the partial temporary high jacking

Great fish, I think we have the same kind of Pike but mine's a female. Never knew what kind of pike it was until now. They don't get that big??? I wouldn't worry about the GT....by the looks of it, female.. won't get bigger than 8" max. Idk how to sex FMs still, but they all look just like the 2 I have....they appear to be always involved in "typical FM face-off behavior". Love to split 'em up and find 2 F, but idk what to really look for yet as far as physical appearance.

How can you tell that GT is a female? I'm trying to sex mine too. Will end up starting a thread but it's hard to get pics of

depends how big it is, but generally 3" is big enough to sex a GT....look for long trailers or at least sharper points on the dorsal and anal fin, a slight slope vs. deeper slope of the forehead or early signs of nuchal hump and the coloration of males is typically much more vibrant with more pronounced blues, greens, turquoise, aqua, etc.....females are more drab more greys and olives background showing.
