125g High or Extra-tall?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I use a bench for my other 2 tanks,lol

well my oscars love to swim up, and swim down, and across. and can accommodate taller decor for them to swim through, not to mention larger water volume.

I've got a 48"x18"x25". It's on a 32" tall stand and if I have to do any maintenance in it I have to remember to not put deodorant on or I'll get it in the tank. Rim is hard in my arm pit when touching the bottom.

if you not like a tall tank thats fine, but i do not see it as useless. IMHO.:)

Yeah, especially if it is going to be a tight fit; a upright is surely better than no tank at all. They just require additional filtration/aeration.

A single Oscar in a 95 tall requires no more filtration than an Oscar in a 75. and in my world every tank should have a HoB, preferably a AC110. all the aeration needed. and a good canister or sump.

Useless as in majority of fish prefer L+W over H.....but it's Common sense to go with an extra high tank rather then no tank at all

If you have the space go for a 6x18

What's the stock?

I have a 75g ready to go, just finished working on it, but the 110H offers a bit more volume, yet I HAVE had tanks 24" high and 25.5"High and it hurnts my armpit to clean the bottom...to ME, a 110 seems a better choice than a 75, considering it's just a Level 2 Growout until I get a 180-240g. With the amount of fish I have I'd rather have a spare 75 and a 110 to work with than smaller garbage-size tanks. It comes with a stand and hood and some tubes and whatnot....has to be moved by the weekend.

I think I may end up taking it and when I get a bigger tank 6' or 7', I'll just sell this one or put it into storage with the other 30+ tanks I have put away.
