Unique female convict cichlid

I showed these photos to a local knowledgeable friend and he feels this female may be more than just a case of unique coloration. Any thoughts?


Notice the difference in base color between the male and female. The male is more of a slate grey with black stripes, where the female is almost white with black stripes.

I don't think its a convict its a Honduran Red point.

Breeding convicts are so pretty. They look like convicts to me. I doubt you just stumbled across some hrp.
