Sometimes when an arowana injures its find and they don't regrow properly they are trimmed so they regrow correctly like cutting hair or something not the actual deep part
 
My silver was in an all out war with my pbass and his anal fin and dorsal find got chewed up fairly good. Just take him out and trim off the fraid ends where it didn't grow back properly and they will grow back in as good as new.
 
Thanks steve, not something i have heard of before, strikes me as animal abuse.
 
not saying it is, just not something i have heard of before. heaven knows we clip dog nails and bird feather.
 
Well my dad moved him and my angels to his 125 the other day lots of filtration he's now with angels two bp and an old JD it won't last though

Eh I mean it sounds tough but lots of people in Asia who have those presenter fish don't like frayed find so they cut them
