Hello MFKers I just got a 7" orino that only eat feeders, when is a pbass to big to get off live?

mine at 4" got starved till they were on pellets. i suggest going Feeder -> prawns -> pellets

Right now I'm trying to get it to eat aggressively so he hit anything that I throw in the tank. I'm thinking it WC it looks a lot like the Venezuela Orion's discus origin was selling.

It can be done but require plenty of patience and effort. This is one part of the hobby I hate about wild caught fish.

It can be done. 7" is hardly an old pbass. Try nightcrawlers then slowly mix in tilapia and pellets.

Mine is finally taking pellets mixes with bw.... gangster gangster style! So freaking happy! But damn it does make a hell of a mess! But yeah 7" isn't old at all! Now go show him who's boss! Haha

You mean go force feed my bass JK. He did show some interest in dried krills. The time is ticking he will fold soon I can feel it.

Just wrote this in another post, took me about 3 days of not feeding them and if you can get your fish near the surface for feeding time take one pellet at a time and throw it hard at the water, most times bass like that fast movement and will hit the food then spit out....keep at it for about 4-7 days and they will soon love pellets. When i would just set the pellet in the water they would just look at it, throw it hard and they went for it. My bass were 6" when converted so you are not too late. I also went from feeding goldfish straight to pellets. I tried just about every pellet on the market as well and had awesome luck with hikari carnivore food sticks.....little pricey but so much easier than feeders and growth has exploded.
