PharmD, starting salary is $122K with $110K in student debt. I'll be living with my parents for 2 years, I wasn't planning to go MC Hammer with my money but I figure a weekend trip to NY is reasonable. I can prob knock out my loan in 4-6 years. I appreciate the advice, have fun but don't blow the bank
Holy crap. Congratulations. I'm part of a program that really pushes grad school but I'm not sure I want to torture myself anymore lol

Congrats ! Agree with frank too. I traveled like crazy when i was younger not so much now. Im sure you'll have ample vacation time once you start your job. Ny is gonna be a let down. Go to vegas lots to do besides gambling. Hit up some of the islands try to get an all exclusive (drinks add up)

Since you have your financed "figured out".......spend a year in Australia. ........or any faraway locations of your dreams. This is the time to do it.

I'm still kicking myself for not traveling to Australia when I was residing in Hawaii......before marriage and kids and mortgage

..........now I have to wait to win Powerball:(

I'd take my chances anyway, since I'm already taking my life into my hands everyday on my commute to/from work

couldn't agree more with this, even stepping outside is a risk; would rather risk it somewhere like Oz!

Used to hate my old work commute, it included a bridge that came to be known as "the kamikaze"; which should give some idea...other roads here have names such as "rest and be thankful", due to it being an achievement getting to the end lol

Nvm, I just bought a fiberglass tank and the filtration will push me $1k. So guess thats my big purchase before I live like a monk and live off mac n cheese til my loans are paid off
