Female convict - interesting face color change

Our female convict seems to be split in the middle on being in breeding colors. Her face is half black and half grey. She's been like this for over a week. Thought it was interesting.

It may not be breeding coloration. I've seen similar instances in other fish where nerve damage is to blame. It doesn't really effect the fish in my experience, but the "face" will stay black for ever.

I never seen breeding dress like that. Looks cool but makes me concerned as well for the fish.
