Male or female?

It was sold as a parachromis motaguense (red tiger). I cannot figure out if its a male or female. Its about 4-5 inches. A year old maybe, had it since less than an inch. Please let me know! Thanks.

Looks like a young Loisellei or Fredrichstahlii. I'd say a female.

Yours could be a male. Give it another inch or so to grow. A lot can change in a couple inches.

Thanks for the insight, I have an all male tank but that is the youngest cichlid in there and the one in question. The alpha male does not seem to chase this one just display towards it, so I am leaning towards female.. But it has the spots showing on the whole body which indicates male in some cases..
