That's a beautiful fire eel. How long did it take to grow that large and how large was it when you got it?

If it takes blackworms it should take earthworms which would be easier to get your hands on and cheaper.My young fire eel is extremely picky with food.It will only eat live blackworms which are not the easiest food to come by around here.
They would have to be very tiny earthworms as the eel's mouth is very small at six inches.I have tried frozen bloodworms and it took them in a few times but spit them right back out and the ignored them.If it takes blackworms it should take earthworms which would be easier to get your hands on and cheaper.
Never heard of trout worms,guessing I'd get them from a bait shop?Try trout worms cut in 3, mix them in with the black worms.
