I glanced over at my aquarium a few minutes ago and noticed some interesting behavior from my Bala shark. Early today, I purchased two 4" Veil tail Angels. They seem to be coming along. They're eating well and have started to roam the tank. The only problem in the aquarium is the the other Angelfish pair doesn't like their presence. The pair continually picks at the new Angels, but I expect them to stop after a few days as they have done before.
This behavior didn't seem strange to me, but it was the Bala shark who was acting different. The Bala shark seemed to be schooling with the new Angels and would chase off the other pair when they attack the Veils. Occasionally the Bala would swim with the black lace/leopard pair (the one that I owned before the Veils) as if he was monitoring them. Has anyone else experienced this behavior? Is this normal? My Bala is 5".
I will try to attach pictures once I see the Bala acting this way once more.
