So maybe there's another, or better section to post this to but I'll post here as well. What shipper/carrier have people had the most success with for the best price? I'm finding that to ship anything overnight within continental US is over $130.

eh I sent electric blue crayfish in a USPS flat rate box from ohio to california and they made it. But they are durable monsters.

Their all fairly similar as stated above but in my experience Rapps has always been the cheapest by a couple bucks. Of course fish size changes things and location.

Chillen at my house and having it delivered is the way imo. if your Stressin 20 or 30 bucks extra might want a new hobby.

I have shipped small boxes (5-6lb) overnight with the post office, and cost is usually about $50-$60, have also used UPS and Fed X (slightly higher cost). What I like about the post office, is, if they don't get there by the time they are guaranteed to arrive, you get your shipping cost money back, by even an hour or 2.
With the others, there is no such guarantee, and they all contract with the same planes.
I have received fish airport to airport, and agree it is the best, because you usually get the fish the day they are sent (barring bad weather), and I believe the cost is comparable.
What's also really a bargain, is you can receive heavy boxes, and multiple boxes airport to airport for about the same cost. So I usually combine with another fish keeper, and we get a large order.

Yea that makes sense for large and bigger orders. For a couple small fish it ain't worth driving 30 minutes and trying to find somewhere to park for me. Ups or fed ex have never been late for my order or lost a fish either. If that happens than I'll probaly change my mind.

I never did airport to airport might have to look into it and my uncle works at American Airlines Cargo.

My main concern is I like to see the fish in person unless its super rare and I want it bad.

Just shipped 4 6-7" Dorado via FedEx $150 but they all arrived on time and in great shape
