Hello I am interested in breeding a pair of my peacock bass in my 90 gallon wide tank and I'm wondering if anyone uses flower pots for them to spawn in? I know a lot of south american cichlids often spawn in flower pots so by the process of assumption I'm wondering if this could be applicable to peacock bass. I often see tanks with peacock bass that have flower pots in them, there is a few members here who seem to be all for flower pots with cichla's so i'm wondering if that's for breeding purposes or do the flower pots aid in the behavior of the fish within the aquarium. Interested to see your thoughts on this. My personal take is since I've added the pots the activity and the color of the fish has really popped, is this for security reasons or are they just displaying their spawning colors? They are around 15" currently.
