I am attempting to grow a specimen Beani. Bought these summer 2015 from different sources. There all turning out different colour variants, which is quite nice. Hopefully a can choose my preferred colour, if they all live.
I do have more Beani but these four are the ones doing the best. They got off to a very slow start. But are now growing feeding and pooing well.

These are awesome, Mate.....can you post details of how you're keeping them, diet, temps, chemistry, etc.....Beani doesn't have a lot of info and we could all use some literature from experienced keepers w/ this species. I have a feeling they are going to become more popular in the near-future. What's the max size on these things anyway? They very closely resemble Jags or RTMs IMO.....hard to believe they aren't Parachromis beani.....definitely don't think they resemble Haitiensis or Tetracanthus nearly as much

I watch every video you post on YouTube so when I read your posts, I hear you talking lol

Anyways, good luck to you. Beani have been number one on my fish wish list for a long time.

Thanks, on the 19/9/15 I picked up 12 Rio panuco fry barely 1cm from Rob at Lincs fish. I lost 2 within a week, but the rest have settled and doing good. They now vary in size from 1/5 to 2 inch. All except one which is growing faster than the rest at 2.5inch...(Fish 4)
Some pics of the small ones.
