what size return lines for 600 gallon tank

In short, three two inch drains and two 1.5 inch returns should do nicely.

Thats what I am thinking, I already have alot of 1.5" plumbing I can use on the returns just need some 2", Just worried the drains will be too much for my 3 55 barrel system, it has 3" pipe connecting them, I think im going to add another on the sides with 90 elbows as I can't add any more in the front

Hopefully it's okay to revive an older thread here. I have a 7' long 420 gallon tank that I'm putting together with a reeflo dart/snapper gold hybrid return pump that has a 1.5" diameter outlet. I drilled 3 return holes (each end and middle) that are only 3/4" because I was planning on using loc-line. Thoughts on this design?

Not quite sure what loc-line is but 3 3/4" drains won't be enough. I had 2 1.5" drains on my 300 and have 3 2" drains on the 600. Is your tank plywood cause you could drill them bigger, I would go 1.5: with a valve to reduce the flow if needed
