Brazilian Hystrix gets description and scientific name

The quota will probably be rewritten to include the new scientific name. Same critter, just a name change.
 
Perhaps I'm opening myself up for criticism, if that's the case then so be it.

What determines this paper/article is referring to true Brazilian hystrix? I can't see the name or word 'hystrix' anywhere.
Couldn't this be referring to another newly classified species of small ray from Brazil?


Also, isn't it arguable that Scobina are the smaller species?

Actually, P. "scobina" is in the same boat as the now P. wallaeci, was. :)

The true scobina looks alot like the P. falkneri found in Peru.

So, when the biologists get to "our" scobina, it might steal the spot as the worlds smallest potamotrygon species.

- then again, there is a type (subspecies possibly) of P. magdalenae that grows even smaller than P. "scobina". But that's a story for another day. :)
