I wouldn't doubt it's possible.....they are somewhat related, just not that closely.
Since they are both Heroine cichlids, and both evolved from the same basal ancestor, why not.
But whether or not you actually want to allow any fry out of your house is the important question.
And if not, whether you have the stomach to do (what I would consider the best thing to do would be), is to cull any survivors you do not want to keep.
My opinion is there are too many, unidentifiable mutt cichlids out there already.
And all the many "help me ID the unidentifiable" posts on MFK only serve to (I believe) prove my point.

Yeah seems like there's a big difference to being partial to eachother vs. having a spawn that turns into viable free swimmers. Either way most likely not interested in keeping any of them if that were to happen. That is unless they can talk and tell jokes.
