How much is the usuall range on pbb price?? I know they dont come in small size.

I think in the 500 ball park but the place that moe posted about had them for less than 400

Also one question that kind of fizzled out was: are these 24"+ fish okay in a tank that's only 24" from front to back?

I ask out of personal interest, I've got a 7ft x 2ft tank and am curious if I should stop short of looking at a congicus or ansorgii

Curious too. I would think it would be ok they arent incredibly active fish but lets see what the verdict is

Pretty much a concern I brought up at the beginning of the topic. Thats why I avoided the big polys because of the width of the tank. But some hard core keepers are saying okay.

Yeah i mean it kind of goes against the rules for more active fish but maybe not for sedentary fish like polys

Well my wild caught endli is at 16" and seems like its still going. I could see it hitting 20"+ eventually. It is a pretty active fish and makes the tank feel small already. I cant see doing a congicus , pbb or ansorgii but Im getting thumbs up from a few....
