If fed frequently on cut tilapia at minimum every other day. My experience on noticeable slow down for captive is about 15-16" and on wild seems to be 12-14"

So once they hit the slow down rate, how long does it take for them to gain 1"??

If it aint the pearsei its my kids providing me with a nice quiet and relaxing environment

I don't know I'm scared to try I really like these two, between them and the ornate as my favs.

Update on this guy.. its doing great eating like a champ and it looks like the aggression is over with. Im not really a big fan of laps but i already like this one much better than my last. Patterns are more defined and it looks like it has a creamish base color on the head. Eats out in the open and doesnt hide. Even if just a plain lap its a keeper.

So do you guys think you can definitively id it yet. Been out of qt for a few days so im not sure if its settled in enough.
