So I have a 240g 8x2x2.
Originally it was stocked with:
4 Silver Dollars
1 Breidohri
1 Salvini
1 Escondido
2 Festae ( both ended up being females)
The Salvini died about 4 months ago mysteriously with no sign of illness or aggression. The escondido had some sort of infection on it's back that I attempted to cure but was unsuccessful and then just last week I lost one of the Festae suddenly. Again, no signs or warning of any kind.
So now I'm left with a male Breidohri and the larger Festae. Both appear to be in very good health and eating well. Right now they are about 5", the Breidohri is chunkier but mostly due to genetics I think.
I'm looking for suggestions to add to the tank. Should I try a female Breidohri and male Festae or am I asking for trouble if I do that? I'm open to ideas and not opposed to going my original route of getting 1 of a few species so that breeding is less likely.
Or should I just leave the tank as is with the 'less is more' approach?
Let me know your thoughts!
Thanks
