Fasting means to not feed your fish. Basically starve them.
Pumping them is to basically over feed your fish. But to do that you have to really up your waterchanges!!! More food equals more poop equals bad water quality if you don't keep up. Be careful and don't go overboard! Pumping isn't really good for your fish. Lol. It also helps to raise the temperature a bit and leave the light on longer to speed up metabolism.
The mirror trick and finger chasing is just like playing with fighting fish. It lets them flare and establish dominance without sacrificing a dither. 15-20 minutes a day preferably with a suspended in tank mirror. Here is mines I made. Two mirrors, zip ties, fishing line, a stick, and the outer ring of a plastic embroidery hoop from your local craft store.

Makes them look hammah thick and boosts kok significantly though. Good for comps or to see max potential for show off pics. Lol!
