GT at LFS with white fin edges

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
As far as I know Andinoacara stalsbergi or 'Silver Saum' are the true green terrors while the rivulatus was known as the 'gold saum' or false green terror. Of course most people know the rivulatus as just green terrors.

I agree that the "stalsbergi" looks to be crossed with some sort of acara.

Andinoacara stalsbergi is white/silver edged but is not a white saum.
As neutrino has said rivulatus the true green terror can be white/silver edged, or,red/orange/gold edged. It is also known as gold saum or silver saum but is still the same green terror known as rivulatus. They are just different colours.
Stalsbergi is a different species altogether and is always silver/white.
It does get a little confusing but I hope that clears things up a little.

Ok so I got both the whit edged one and orange one. I will keep them together until it isn't possible anymore and then either get their own tank each or re home one.

Will take pics when they're settled in.

I had a GT in the tank before but I think it has HITH. I was olanning on returning it for that reason. I didn't notice at the LFS.

Is this contagious? He's out of the tank right now waiting to be returned. He's in a bucket.

I tried siphoning all his poo out of the tank. Anything else I should do to prevent it happening in my two new additions?

That actually helps a lot thanks!

Took some snaps. They are both super outgoing, especially the orange one. Really excited to eat already lol. Going for the pellets so hard I feel like theyre going to injure themselves on the glass...

Looking at these new pictures the silver on does look like a rivulatus and not a cross after all.
Nice fish.
