Hmm.. That might just work considering I can't get a 125 since my dad thinks it's "too big" since there already quite a few other aquariums/terrariums around the house.

From what I've read those only get 8", and can be kept in a 55 gallon minimum, but should be kept alone.
Which by my standards is pretty ideal. That might just be my first monster fish.
My first monster is my Black Ghost Knife. He's only 6" now, but should get at least 3x that size once full grown.
An ery sounds good. Try and get a 75 with some wood and lots of plants and floating plants for him to lurk in
Not trying to be nag but a jar will out grow a 125 in a year not years. You'll be very surprised how fast your fish will grow. If your dad won't let u a bigger tank get rid of the pacu. It will end up breaking your 55. I had two pacus break a 125 it was such a mess. Since it seems like you live with your parents if that 55 breaks because of that fish your hobby is gonna be cut short
Alright, now that I've considered numerous options, I think I've finally found one. I'm thinking a 75g with an ery ery, a Nandus or two, and maybe some clown loaches. Any thoughts or critiques?
