Monster fish on a budget

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ery ery are wild caught and like all wild fish highly aggressive/predatory... Might shred any small tank mates. Stick with a species tank for the wolf if that's what your hearts set on.

Hmm.. You think it would take on a Raphael cat or a pictus cat? Those would be introduced first so they would have size on their side.

i think it's a really good idea to go mid range as well tank size. No matter how much you read up the hobby will always throw you a few curve balls when your new lol...not what you want with a £3-4K set up!

I am no expert on wolf fish... But in my limited experience they take on most things! And with there arsenal of fangs they kill or shred most thinks as well. If your want a wolf.. Post in the characins section that's where the wolf owners will be able to answer anything you need to know.

Ery will be good with larger fish that cling to the bottom but keeping it on its own is a better choice

Hum not necessarily... If they are of similar size (as in small) when they start and grow together it can work in a BIG tank
So if I introduce the cats first and let them grow, and then introduce the nandus, and introduce the wolf last, would that make any difference?

I'm no expert on wolf fish, but I can tell you that since they are wild caught, they will be more aggressive, and still have the instinct to kill.

That is the best way to do it... As the wolf will hopefully not see them as food. But! Wolfs Shen a habit of seeing everything as food.. I have heard some horror stories! But it's worth a try.
