Hi all

Just wanted to shout out to Richard aka Aquaman for his extremely knowledgeable, timely and efficient help in this past week. I basically owe the like of one of my female BD to this guy.
Quick and short version of what has happened.
My recently mature male has been trying to work out what to do in the breeding world. In doing this he has taken a particular liking to this one BD female, to the point she became stressed, did not look particularly beaten up but did get to the point where she stopped eating for a few days.
So I decided to put the divider up and give her a break. As soon as I did this she started to sulk which is what she always does when separated from the other rays. Anyway, it became apparent very quickly that she was breathing heavy. Later the same day I noticed she was not breathing correctly at all out of one gill set.
I spoke with aquaman and sent him a video. Thanks to his experience he was able to very quickly spot that the female had gill flukes due to stress and advised me on the treatment of Fluke Solve.
I ordered this and treated the next day. 3 days later and she has made a near full recovery and started eating frozen again just last night.
Basically if I had not received the advice I would have most likely lost the ray.
I want to send out my personal thanks to Richard, It's people like you that make this hobby what it is and I am SO SO grateful for your prompt replies to my relentless messages and for taking the time to view the videos I sent you. You were able to spot very quickly what I did not even notice given my inexperience, particularly the ray coughing which led to the prompt to treat for gill flukes.
I lost the male last year and really did not want to lose the female too as these particular BD have some very nice bloodline traits that don't appear to be around much now.

So once again...THANK YOU AQUAMAN!!!! You are literally a LIFE saver my friend!!

Glad it worked out for you! She looks really nice! Anytime I seperate my wild female off she does the same thing... she will sulk and not eat for about a week or so. Definately a good learning experience here on other symptoms to look for. Thanks for sharing!

I am pleased that things are looking up now mate, she's a stunning ray and it would be a real shame to loose her especialy after last years disaster. these guys really know how to keeps us on our toes and with the occasional stressfull moment that we could all do without, it can take its toll on us at times. As for the kind words spoken about Richard (aquaman) i really couldn't not agree with you more. I aspire to anyone with that level of knowledge that is so willing to help out where ever possible. Truly one of the most genuine people i have ever had the pleasure to meet.
