Makes no dam sense in describing the fish.
homo expression coming from a male. o_O

KOK is not even an English word. It's too old and it's ignorant.

while still negative, that fish would disgust some people

Defeats the original point of breeding for larger nuchal hump (balance).

You do know it's pronounced "coke" right? Your preoccupation with that other thing is kind of off putting, but hey whatever you are into. You are in America man, just call it a nuchal hump or head or hump or bump.
while no one wants to argue about kok's more than me, lets get to the real argument here...why do people think flowerhorns look good and not like monstrosities in the same caliber as fancy goldfish.

Lol it's the cool factor. Also if you never owned one they have one the best personalities and you share a bond with them.

It's subjective I hate betta and goldfish but people love them.

Datnoids I don't like them at all look ugly and pricey for no reason but people love them.

My first Flowerhorn was 7-8 years ago and I got it for pennies because he was a monster fish. No big kok just 14-15" and old lol He gave it to me when I bought a huge Midas from him and he told me they're very similar.

Haha who talks like a cheerleader in everyday life? Give me a K-O-K! Just call it a head.

Fancy goldfish are awesome when they are balanced, been bred for hundreds of years and most goldfish people are more clued in to the hobby than fh keepers who mostly seem to be just "passing thru" the hobby. This fish pictured is certainly a monstrosity and the sad thing is that with that size head somebody would think to breed it to try and make more. How a goldfish carries itself is very important, overblown head growth to where the fish swims head down is looked down upon. You can't look elegant and nice if you can't swim properly and I think it should be the same for fh.

His vision is only straight and down. Most fish are able to look up at the surface from under. Midas and family can get monster heads but their heads grow upwards; not wide + extra explosion covering above the eyes like Monster wide headed FHs.

hope that poor guy gets TLC to the end.

Here is my old KGM named Rooster(R.I.P.)
Huge head, but he's not disgusting. imo and many others

any fish bred with a deformity on purpose is a monstrosity to the hobby IMO lol. fat headed goldfish, flowerhorns, shortbody everything...BAH! lol

^ May be true but we've been doing it to all kinds of animals for centuries. Appreciate the fact that man can notice something rare in nature and try his hardest to promote those traits through selective breeding. This stuff isn't bred to be competitive in nature or to replace natural fish. I myself prefer owning and breeding fish that nature doesn't lol.
To each his own. There are people out there with a much harder stance on this subject. People that would think we are all scum just for having any creature in captivity. At least with the man made stuff you know you aren't contributing to the over harvesting of wild specimens I suppose.

We shouldn't even have Zoos!!
It's for our amusements but cruel to life.
