maybe run alternate plug circuits for the essentials and non essentials for quicker switchover.
And for vince, if you would like to stock heavy then why not go the aquacultural filtration route? Using settling chambers, drum filters or any finer mechanical filter, high wattage UV, fluidised media beds and if you have the money and know how, ozone skimming would polish yoir water entirely. But since you are dripping 1500gals a day i guess ozone is not necessary.
