Endli dabola/tinkinso vs faranah

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was looking at the coloration of my endli and seeing that at times it would display toward grey, then at times a darker brown especially after I added the black sand and it even was a light tan almost a pinkish hue to it. So color will vary depending on the fish and its mood and of course substrate.

Pkus substrate...we are obsessed with which variant will look different from this variant meanwhile there are too many factors that need to be accounted for... im starting to get on your side of the fence with this stuff... differenced yes but nothing major

Im pretty happy with the Dabola (Tinkisso river) endli I have. It has the characteristics I like with the elongated body and flatter head. I just dont see a noticeable difference to get the Faranah. I know the head is flatter as an adult but like I said mine looks good and Im happy with it. The Volta on the other hand does seem different enough in head shape and even the pattern for me to consider.

Get a bv, lolz

Too bad DMD doesn't like Congicus. :p
Would have to be the right congi, have only seen a couple pics of ones that I thought were pretty special (Godzilla was one!), otherwise many look pretty bland to me when they are large adults.

This catch location conversation for endli. Reminds me of someone discussing the topic of a differences of a normal pearsei cichlid versus thr Rio Locanjah variant. They're different, but oh so similar...... :-)

Yup... but imo the normal catch location looks better.... i dont like the steep forehead on the rio locanjah

Any congicus would look great on your substrate tho! :)
