Need a cichlid (peaceful) for my tank

a lack of butterfly fish is why i have another knife. the last butterfly left was so beaten sup it was unbelievable so i got the biggest knife there.
i would maybe go to 4 knives but that might be overstocking a bit and my dad doesnt like the idea of me doing more than 50% WC
 
I am considering an angelfish or just guppies if i get rid of my pink tail, or platies or swordtails
 
I've been keeping a rainbow cichlid in a planted tank for like ever, and there are geo and geoacara that should work nicely. Electric Blue acara haven't been bad and most of the cryptoheros are cool if you just keep males or keep a single one (might be a pain if you have a pair though).

If you don't want cichlids have you considered African rope fish?Peacefull,interesting,and would continue the African theme.
