Foamy tank top, like laundry machine

Has anyone had super foamy tank top? I just added ceramic fikter medias to my filters about 2 days ago and voila!

I am anxious that it may harm the fishes

Did you wash the filterm media? Do a water change imediatly

It might be a mini cycle going on, or foam fractitioning from the increased organics. are these different tanks. And how much of what are you feeding the redtail cat and bichir?

I generally feed the rtc and endli sliced shrimps and pellets, and i cycled the new medias in a fishless tank with amonia filled water for 2 days prior to adding them to the tanks, those are 2 different tanks.

I'm doing a 90℅ wc as i write this.

A complete cycle takes upwards of 6 weeks. Not two days. Google is your friend.

Yes it is because the nitrogen cycle in your tank is not complete yet causing a buildup of dissolved organics. If I were you, I would just return my fish until I figured out how to keep them.

the protein is skimming off of the water, like in salt tanks. ammonia cycles take a long time. i use seachem stability for 5 days before adding a 1.5" fish.

what size are your tanks?
