Any now my fish are acting funny. I bought it off someone who said they had it in there tank for about a year. Could it be drop it PH? What should I do? Fish seem to act fine one minute then act strange the next. Looks like the are breathing a little heavier but nothing to bad.

What are the other parameters. It wouldnt drop that fast to shock your fish.

I only have the test strips but according to those they are all good. Water is hard but it always has been and hasn't really been any issue so far. It started almost immedialty after doing a water change and adding the driftwood.

could you still post them? for example my tap water went from 8.1 to 9.3 PH overnight for whatever reason.

PH shows 8.4 and has been at that for months. Nitrate reads 20 and nitrite reads 0. I'm just going off these test strips.

Most unusual. Charney Charney @Odball

In my experience, the PH dropped adding driftwood, but it was there before any fish so cannot say if there were behavioral changes. Also, what was the tank PH prior to the wood? You need some sort of control to know the effects of adding the wood at least by how much PH changed.

How have fish been acting different? How big is the wood relative to your tank? Perhaps they're reacting to change in en environment?
