Sorry didnt see the question, but i would say being thats about 10-15G? Maybe 1 male and 2-3 females would work, just add a lot of decoration to break the lines of sight..,
The tank will be a 15g.
Are there any other possible tankmates I could keep like roseline barbs, or other barb species? Or should I only get otos?

have all the supplies for the time gallon tank. I picked up a top find intrenal filter today, once you get the sand I'll be done. Here's the 1.6 gallon 8x8x6 tank. Only a temporary holding tank for all the plants, I made that tank in less then 10 minutes for my Venus fly trap enclosure so nothing special. hooked up the pressurized CO2 to test the longevity of one tank. I ordered 30 16g tanks should last over a year maybe 2
I mean, just the puffers will be quite active in the tank, and the ottos will help keep some of the algae at bay... As for the roseline barbs, won't they be a bit big for a small tank? If i were to add any more tankmates i would probably look for something smaller...
I may not get any tank mates other than otos as long as the puffers stay active. I was only thinking about adding some other fish to make the tank more colorful and active.
I like the idea of being able to keep freshwater puffers without having to set up another 200.
