Thought I'd share this in this thread.
There is a pair of Swainson's hawks that have lived on campus for at least three years. They just so happen to build their nest in a high traffic area.
About two years ago these signs were posted around their area..

We would see them flying around and perched on light posts. From time to time we'd even see them on the side walk. But never saw them attack anyone or heard of them attacking anyone.
Over the summer these were painted on sidewalks around their area.

Then at the beginning of the semester these were put up in the area.

On Monday I met my gf for lunch on campus and she was carrying her umbrella. No rain in sight. Turned out that one of the hawks "escorted" her out of their area. He or she flew down at my gf. She had to move out of its way. It then landed on a car she was next to and puffed up. Letting her know she was too close.
I told her that they have to be attacking or "warning" a lot of people for it happen to her.
Today these popped up around their area.

Turns out the hawks are now proud parents and a lot of students and faculty are being confronted by the hawks haha.
