Not to be rude about your ID, but I zoomed in and counted 11 finlets. Maybe I counted wrong, but it'd be messed up, PBB cost quite a bit more than a lap... from that angle the head looks lap to me which is what made me count the finlets.

From what I've seen. The asking price for this particular piece was below what a pbb market price would be .

You are not being rude bro. All good. What if I told you I had a "normal" senegalus with 3 finlets?? It's true. My point being I don't put that much emphasis on finlet count. I had doubts looking at the pics myself. Once I saw it in person, I knew it was special. That's why I said I can't wait till this guy grows out. It's very small. I did not pay asking price, so either way, my gamble is well worth it and cheap. I'll repost that same bichir in about a year and see how it turns out. I don't mind being wrong, and I'll be the first one to say I was wrong. BUT THIS WILL TURN OUT TO BE A SPECIAL PIECE..... IMO.

Asking price is not always market price bro. Contact that seller now. He has reduced prices for the remaining pieces like crazy because he needs them out..... way below "market price".

It was just in response to moe statement about it being messed up if u paid pbb price, and possibility of it not being a pbb. I know what the asking price was. So no need to ask. No worries. You know what your doing. Low risk transaction really. Nice piece overall regardless.

Believe there's 13 finlets counting the one attached to the tail.
