I disagree...I think they would have a coke display up no matter what. Because 9/11 is around the corner they decided to do a theme on it in memory(IMO).
they had America the beautiful sung in multiple languages. People lost their friggin' minds.
I don't recall that ad campaign or the resulting brouhaha but I can understand the sentiments of those who pitched a fit about it.
The display doesn't bother me, but I do think it's tacky. In this age of PC pressure and social media, the breadth of exposure is much more through social media.
I've read that soda/pop sales have declined. But I really don't think that's needed to sell something like Coke.

I was saying I don't think it's in poor taste...rather it's for honoring those killed.
To me it's like saying no one can use Christmas on their products(in December) as it has similar purpose.
I remember that now. Honestly it does seem a little tasteless, however it would also show how anyone could come live here.
