During that period you need lights to color your aro.
I have aqua sonic from Qian Hu 13.5W x 6 pieces for 2 aquarium, 60cm tank, all in white background(sides, bottom and upper).
This will emit and shine the scale, maintain it till it grows to 12 inch. if you put 3 tube lights, make sure you need to change 3/4 of total water on your tank every 3 days because of algae coming during this period.
The purpose why I need to put 3 tubes is that while the aro getting bigger at least it adapts the light and water.
Other tank that i have same setup but different light setting, I put white lights (64K sun light).
