Yes,I have heard that about them before.

Catch and release krich big carp are very clever and hard to catch but with practice patience and the right tackle it's fishing at its best Imo, I've had a few lumps this season from my local syndicate waters , grass carp do go like torpedoes when hooked there much more streamlined compared to commons or mirrors

So,they are strictly a sport fish, not for eating?

never tried eating them, I am told if you are going to eat them to cut their tails off while alive and let them bleed out in the water. other wise they taste realy fishy/gamey, again have heard never tried. I also hear slugs make excellent bait for them.

Naw that was me pops! I'm still here! :D
lol, good to hear, may not agree with you all the time but do enjoy your posts most the time.

Hello; Some years ago I caught a large carp. I was using light tackle, a six foot fly rod with at most six pound leader (likely 4 pound). Had no idea what was hooked and am still surprised that I got in in the boat. Took a while. Likely a larger measure of luck than skill. I think it was around 18 inches with a heavy round body.

Hey KK, do they have carp at the end of the world?
