I guess bad news today. The doctor said I still have parts of my ankle that hasn't healed and wants me to back off on therapy and to cut back on 'walking'.
Not good. Physio was the worst part of my ankle recoveryI guess bad news today. The doctor said I still have parts of my ankle that hasn't healed and wants me to back off on therapy and to cut back on 'walking'.
The silver lining is that the doc made the discovery and has instructed you to ease back.Sure it's disappointing but think of the damage that could have been done if you had continued your activities....nothing like a broken bone that has not healed properly.I guess bad news today. What also makes me mad is why they didn't do x-ray at the time the doctor told me I could start putting weight on it. It's not fully known now if my rehab re-cracked it or if it still don't bond at that time. The silver lining is that the doc made the discovery and has instructed you to ease back.Sure it's disappointing but think of the damage that could have been done if you had continued your activities....nothing like a broken bone that has not healed properly.
That's great man. So an OK ending to this saga?I go back to the doctor this Monday. I haven't used the cane in weeks and totally dumped the wheelchair(even for just sitting). Still have a slight limp(I'm not in a hurry to lose it since it keeps me on the caution side of things). I've been using an ultrasound device on the ankle that's suppose to help healing.
Pretty much. I'm walking about 90% normal now(if I still limp it's from me being careful). I try to avoid walking in the grass or doing any unusual activity. I'll most likely only see the bone doctor 1 more time. He said it looked good last visit and told me I didn't have to wear any protection but did want me to keep using that device. That's great man. So an OK ending to this saga?
