Yeah I've been watching that one for awhile as he likes to annoy the yasuhikotakia and the skunk.
It could have also been an accident and not aggression. When bottom dwellers bunch up for food trying to get a bite of the one pellet....with their noses stuck to each other....
I always kept mostly bottom feeders and for that reason started feeding small bite size pellets to prevent the fish from bunching up like that.
I had a platy with its eye poked out once. Now everyone knows platies aren't bottom dwellers but they are pigs and eat wherever the food is. It never happened to another fish though and the platy did heal nicely but could not see the food afterwards....I didn't even notice until I saw it going very skinny. Then I made sure it eats and dropped the food right in front of her nose. She was hungry the poor thing...and appreciated the manual feeding.

Lovely loaches. These are not the ones I thought about. I was talking about the dwarf chain loach. I don't know much about these yasuhikotakia.
Very similar to the skunks but don't have the black skunk stripe. Mean as hell too
Now that you mentioned that. I do see them all dive in when it's feeding time. I feed 1mm pellets because my Geophagus refuses to eat any pellets bigger than that.
Update on my gold Burmese loach. It's eating fine and always has a nice full belly. It's grown since then and I believe I may have found the culprit in the missing eye case. I believe it's the zebra loach that did it. For the last few weeks they have been going at it non stop.
Its either the tiger or the skunk loaches....
The most placid of the tigers from my experience is the berdmorei, I have had one with my clowns for about 3 years no problem
However about a year ago I got another 2 for a different tank and eventually had to seperate them as they terrorized even my electric blue acaras
The skunk loaches are really mean...... I got 4 of them aslo about 3 or 4 years ago... they were still fairly small and attacked everything they could in the tank...
They killed two corries and took the eyes off the other two and then started with my other loaches... I took them back to the LFS....
I must say I have never seen my zebras be nasty....
