Injected Shrimp from China

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you search on YouTube they do the same thing with chicken in order to add water weight

A very underhanded way to add to the price in my opinion

Oh I'm sure they will make excuses like it adds to the flavor or it helps keep everything well hydrated...

I buy wild shrimp harvested from the Gulf of Mexico for my rays.
Nice. Wild is best, hands down. I never buy farmed fish at all, wild salmon for example. Wild costs more but you know it's not been pumped with foods intended to bulk the fish up ASAP.

Probably injecting brine to increase the weight as scott s said, unfortunately you never know what crap they inject and feed - hormones, antibiotics - farmed animals these days

All of that salt is probably bad enough for freshwater fish.

I don't think it's a salt. The name of the solution wast mentioned. Or maybe this is a different version the the one I watched.

I didn't watch the video,my phone was taking a little too long to play it for my patience but I have heard of shrimp and other seafoods being injected with salt or brine.
