Afraid it might get too cold for peacocks

Leaning towards pacu, they seem to be pretty bulletproof. I just have to find a food source for them, and probably move the bass to another pond

Where u gonna put the pacu in winter? They don't tolerate tempature below the 60s

Looking at this pond you should definitely add some tilapia in the warmer months to slow down silt accumulation.

I'm hoping that the pond stays at or above 60 - if not, there is a heated pond down the street. It is WAY smaller, but it's heated. This pond gets direct sunlight almost all day though, so it should be okay for almost all of the year

Yeah, they r hardier than pacu,fight well,attack a variety of baits and lures,there r several landlocked lakes in central Texas with them.
