I've been haunting the forums here for a few years now and could have sworn I had some post. Never the less here goes.
My name is Jim and I run Benthic Seas Animals Rescue and Research LTD. We are a non-profit organization specializing in the rescue of sharks, sting rays, octopus and eels. I gain absolutely nothing from the rescues I do or the fund raisers we run.
We're located in Rocky Point NC. Hurricane Matthew basically wiped us out, we suffered hurricane damage, we were looted. A few nights after being looted someone actually broke into our rescue area and stole about 7,000.00 in rescued sharks.
My team and I are haunting as many forums as possible watching for someone/anyone to be posting adds for 2 Short Tale Nurse Sharks, Some Adult White Spotted Bamboos, a 4 foot leopard shark and a Dwarf Wobegon Shark.
We do have an open case with local authorities regarding our stolen sharks.
We are a Fully Licensed Shark Rescue and Rehabilitation Organization.
We are currently working with state and federal organizations to obtain permits for tagging, studying and rehabilitating wild caught animals.
All of our animals are tagged
I'm hoping that by spreading the word we may be able to recover a few of our animals and equipment.
