Parasites or bloodworms?

I can't tell if his poop looks like this, because I have been feeding him mostly bloodworms he shows shrimp no interest and I just end up cleaning them up later or if it's parasitic worms. His stomach isn't lumpy and this is the first time I've seen anything like this since the treatments. Better safe than sorry ya know.

Looks like it could potentially be parasites, maybe dose another round of IP meds or use some epsom salt in the tank to try and flush the puffers system out a bit...

I'll give him another round I'll go pick up the treatment today. He didn't show any issues after the second treatment then a few days later I started seeing this again. He is still significantly better than when I got him, but I also think the shipping process played a part in that since he was so tiny.

I did 2 dose of prazi on my puffer and his poop was beaded like that before and after treatment as well.
 
It could be the reaminder of the parasites that need to be flushed out...

I use to sometimes dose 2 rounds of IP meds, then followed by adding some epsom salt around 3-4 days later to flush out any remaining parasites, finally would be giving the epsom salt a day or two to do its work then a large water change and good vaccum...

You will need to be vigilant in cleaning up the poop during this time, but hopefully after that, you puffer should be pretty much cleaned out and hopefully parasite free...
 
I've done two rounds already...the epsom salt scares me a bit mainly, because I've never used it and have no idea how much to use or how often . And since this first two treatments I've uped the cleanings.

Another thing that just dawn on me is that i've been feeding my puffer shrimp and they are coming back out the same color. Normally when i feed shrimp to other fish the poop will come out with orange in color. That to me seems like that shrimp are not being digested by the puffer.

Epsom salts are far easier than meds to use. I've always done a tablespoon/gallon. Its hard to really hurt a fish with Epsom salts.
 
I'm currently using MetroPlex...metronidazole is the active ingredient. I also got a bonding agent so I can make medicated food for him.
